CRI’s Response to the Coronavirus
Dear Friends of Children's Relief International,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you as we adapt to this unique and challenging time. In the midst of this pandemic, CRI's work continues among the poorest and most difficult areas of our world today. Thank you for partnering with us. We deeply appreciate your trust in our work. It is our privilege to be a bridge between your compassion and the great needs we are likely to soon encounter.
We want you to know that our efforts will not stop because of the COVID-19 pandemic. There has been no slow down in the kind or amount of aid we provide. Your support is moving without hesitation to the people in our overseas projects and programs.
Our best guess is that most countries we work in are about 6-8 weeks behind the USA in the spread of this virus. When it begins to rise in these communities, the effects could be far worse than here. Our help will be needed more than ever. We are starting now by sending funds from our reserves to buy soap, food, and other essentials among our African projects. Within a week, our website will have a COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund option to help those who need it most.
