A Grace & Knowledge Advocate Story
Every CRI relationship starts somewhere. For Jill, it started with a friendship.
When we were looking for a nanny, we found Blessing’s name on the Dallas Theological Seminary job board. When asked what she would do in an emergency, Blessing’s response revealed her heart: “Oh, that’s simple. I would pray!”
Our friendship grew over the years, to the point that our kids saw Jackson and Blessing as their African parents. When they felt called to return and minister in Nigeria, we began to learn about their vision for Grace & Knowledge and their involvement with CRI. Our support of GKA helps care for children, share the Gospel, and provide for our dear friends. They are a force to be reckoned with, so we knew the Lord would multiply the fruit of our giving through their ministry to these kids.
Their relationship with the Lord is powerful, and prayer is as integral to them as breathing. They stay with us when they visit the States, and the amount of time they spend praying is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. As I watch miracle after miracle occur for GKA, I know it’s because of their constant prayers. Their steadfast belief that “God’s got it” makes it hard to doubt His goodness and faithfulness.
We’re so grateful they have an organization like CRI behind them, especially given the violence they face. I often say, “You cannot love deeply that which you do not know.” We know them, and we love them wholeheartedly. When you know them, even just a little, it becomes easier to see the need, to step in, and to invite others to do the same.”
