I am pleased and excited to share that this fall I will join a Redeemer Rockwall mission trip and return to Malawi, Africa. There I will serve once more with Children’s Relief International (CRI) and their international missionary partners. The ministries include a church, Bible studies for men and women, a preschool & feeding program, tutoring and nutrition programs for children, building homes and drilling wells, caring for widows, the elderly and those with HIV, and sports programs for youth. I have been asked to return and undergo training to be a future team leader for my church, Redeemer.

My team will have the opportunity to participate in all of these ministries. At the feeding program, we will share Bible stories, do crafts, and play games with the little ones. We will teach Bible studies and a life skills class, and we will visit the homes of the elderly, sick, and widows in the village. We will also participate in building a home and in the sports program, playing soccer and netball. Last time I fell in love with the people of Nsanganiza and it will be so wonderful to see them again and continue these friendships!

Malawi is a place full of extremes—full of life and color, rich tastes and smells, music and dancing, but also darkness and extreme poverty. Many have never encountered the love of Christ. This makes ministries like the CRI’s even more crucial as they share the light of Christ with the poor in both Word and deed.

Will you help me raise support to take this trip? By October 10, I need to raise $3,600 to cover my trip expenses including airfare, lodging, meals, transportation and insurance. Any size gift would be appreciated.
