The Michigan Giant Slayer supports Children’s Relief International’s Grace & Knowledge Academy in Nigeria. In Nigeria, school is not free. Poor families can only dream of sending their children to school. The costs of tuition and supplies are too high. The children stay home, cared for by older siblings or other family members. Their life in poverty continues through the generations.

Grace & Knowledge

All proceeds benefit CRI’s Grace & Knowledge Academy, giving students in Nigeria an education.

The 5K Race & Fun Run

Our course loops through Hudson Mills MetroPark in Dexter, MI. Racers can access chip-timed results after the event. The course is a mix of open fields and trails. Or run your own course for our virtual runners! 

Course routes are subject to change in instances of inclement weather at Hudson Mills' discretion.

Awards

Awards will be given to in-person runners only for the following 5K categories:

  • Overall Male and Female Winners

  • 11 and under Male and Female

  • 12-14 Male and Female

  • 15-19 Male and Female

  • 20-29 Male and Female

  • 30-39 Male and Female

  • 40-49 Male and Female

  • 50-59 Male and Female

  • 60+ Male and Female

Virtual Participation

For those who are unable to race in-person, we will also have a virtual race! Complete your virtual 5K or Fun Run at your leisure. Run or walk on your own or with family and friends. No need to record your times - just have fun!
