Women make up nearly half of the world’s extreme poor. Many are raising children on their own and, with limited opportunities for employment, struggle to provide for their families. Strength & Dignity seeks to minister to these women by coming alongside them with hope, encouragement, and practical support rooted in the love of Christ, helping them discover their God-given dignity and purpose.

Strength & Dignity exists to share the light of Christ by connecting and equipping women to know God, grow in maturity, and glorify Him in their communities through word and deed.

Through team-led conferences, we invite women to participate in sharing their stories and what God is doing in their lives with women around the world. Women gather for teaching from God’s Word, meaningful discussion, and fellowship with their peers. Fun activities and sharing a meal create beautiful opportunities to build relationships and connect with women, who are often living in deep poverty.

Through these relationships, women are reminded of their value, encouraged in their faith, and equipped to be a light to those around them.

Many women who attend our conferences are pastors’ wives seeking biblical training and encouragement. Others are hearing the gospel for the very first time.

Strength & Dignity Pathway Program

Poverty, debt, and limited access to education and employment opportunities can create significant barriers for women seeking to provide for their families and build sustainable livelihoods.

Through the Strength & Dignity Pathway Program, we aim to share the light of Christ in Word and deed by equipping women living in poverty around the world with the tools they need to thrive, spiritually and economically.

We do this through:

  • Discipleship: Nurturing faith and spiritual growth through Christ-centered mentorship, teaching, and fellowship.

  • Business Education: Providing practical training in entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy.

  • Debt-Free Business Capital: Providing resources and funding to help women launch sustainable businesses without taking on debt.

Through CRI International Missionary Partners, the Pathway Program provides women the opportunity to earn start-up capital for a small business through a scholarship program. Women who participate commit to 12 months of monthly classes focused on spiritual growth, business development, and practical skills. As they complete the program and fulfill their production commitments, they earn funding to launch or strengthen a sustainable business.

Because of Strength & Dignity, women are discovering that they, too, have a voice in God’s Kingdom—and that God can use them to impact their families, churches, and communities.
