Sudan Refugees

We have all heard of the Lost Boys of Sudan who were driven out of their country in the 90s by the 2nd Sudanese Civil war.

Among them was Martin. After living in Egypt and Israel for several years, he has returned to the Sudan to help children of the strees of Wau through VBS type efforts. He writes of his vision:

My country’s civil war left 2 million dead, my parents among them. Hundreds of thousands had to flee as refugees. I was among them. It has been a long journey of many years. Along the way, I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior. In a dream He has called me to return to the Sudan. “How can my people understand unless someone goes and teaches them my Word?” Christ asked. I made a vow that I would obey. Now that I am back, my heart has gone out to the children who are the survivors of Sudan’s wars. So many live in the streets. My goals are to get these children back in school, to teach them how much Jesus Christ loves them and to some day open a home center where these lost children can find refuge. We will prepare a better world in Jesus’ name for ourselves and the coming generation. I will never turn my back on them.
