Jege Project
Jege, Nigeria
The city of Jege sits on the Muslim-Christian border of Nigeria. After much preparation, Jackson and Blessing are pursuing their long-term dream to build a Christian school in their home village.
The Grace & Knowledge Academy began classes in September of 2011 with four classrooms and 42 children, and it continues to grow. When children walk through the doors of the G&K Academy, they have food, shelter, education, and the love of Jesus within their reach. On the same campus the New Covenant Divinity School will train and develop adult church leaders. Jackson will focus on theological training for pastors and lay leaders while Blessing focuses on child development and teacher training. They are there to minister among the poor of their country, to bring spiritual and physical help to their people, to show the light and love of Christ.
Jackson offers this word of encouragement to all those who support their ministry:
We are sobered by the sacrificial love of God in Christ who redeemed us and ushered us into new life. This love is at work in us all as we join hands in this mission—reaching poor children and widows with the love of Christ, and training local Christian leaders in Nigeria. We remember that the most important thing in our work is the message of love God spoke to this dying and needy world of ours.
