Our Story

This is my story (John). Just a little salt adds great taste to food. I know this because of my culinary experience. I grew up in India and traveled extensively on cruise ships because of my baking and pastry expertise. Like a nice meal, I found a nice place to live: turquoise water, pink sandy beaches and warm Caribbean weather. However, I missed the salt in my life. God’s call urged me to go back to my country and minister to my people. I added salt in my life through obeying God’s call in 1998. I quit my job and went to Appalachian Bible College to get my B.A. in Missions. After graduation, in 2002 I went back to India and started training national pastors. The need for educated pastoral training in India motivated me to further my own education at Dallas Theological Seminary.

This is my story (Maria). After experiencing God’s healing and living through Hodgkins disease, I committed my life to His service. Coming from a Roman Catholic home in India, I faced opposition and criticism to come to this vocational ministry. However, through God’s grace, I have traveled several places to further my education. I have been involved in various ministries along the way. I want to work among women and children and guide them to a ‘real life’ in Jesus Christ.

After graduating from DTS, we headed to Northern India to plant a church and train pastors. Our goal is to help our community “add a little salt” in their own lives and experience better social, ethical, and spiritual lives.
