Our Story

My wife, Paula, and I began working with CRI in 2003. At that time I was vice president of operations for a large metal manufacturing corporation and Paula was a special education teacher. God called us to use our education and work experience to help the children and families of extreme poverty in Kenya. CRI provided us with the opportunity to obey this calling. In 2008 we both retired and began serving full-time with CRI.

We have expanded our ministry to include the Ray of Light project in Mozambique as well as the King of Kings and Mudpaths projects in India. While I am focusing on teaching local leaders effective project management skills, organizational planning, and micro-enterprise development, Paula has been developing teaching materials to assist the project educators in their efforts to improve the learning performance of their students. Both of these efforts are directed at achieving self-reliance and independence for the children and families who suffer with the poverty of third world society.

CRI has been a blessing to us. They are a Christ–centered relief organization which serves the poorest of the poor. CRI recognizes the dignity and self worth of the people we serve by working through local leaders and focusing on long-term relationships. They strive for sustainability and self-reliance. CRI has provided the training, leadership, and freedom to serve God as He has called us.
