One in a Million

One in a million. We use this phrase to describe a special friend or maybe a unique opportunity, but rarely do we mean it literally. Last week a group of impoverished Christ followers gathered at the Centro Emissor Church in Dondo, Mozambique, to celebrate and thank God for a literal one in a million blessing: the arrival and distribution of some of the 1,140,000 meals—enough to feed 3,032 people for 365 days—sent by Wooddale Church in Minneapolis!

After a message about God’s faithfulness, CRI missionaries gave instructions on how to prepare and store the food, complete with a taste test! The first meals went to the AIDS victims in the Project Life program. Others who received meals include: Association of the Blind, YWAM, the church plant communities of Savane, Mafambisse, and Mautra, and the children and staff of the pre-schools and El Shaddai.

Even one million thank-you’s would not adequately express our gratitude to Wooddale Church, to more than 5,000 volunteers, and to all those who donated their prayers and finances to this grand endeavor.
