Children’s Relief International

FAQs

We welcome anyone who feels called to help needy children and is comfortable with our Christ-centered approach to our projects.

What does a mission team do?

Team members can serve in educational roles (pre and primary school, ESL), medical assistance, construction, agricultural work, sport camps, VBS opportunities, leadership development and evangelism.

What does it cost?

The average cost of a two week trip is around $3000, most of that going to air fare. We send a project-specific budget once a team is established.

How long are the trips?

Trips are usually 10 to 15 days in length. This includes travel time, generally 2 to 3 days to arrive and one day to return.

Where do the teams stay?

Our projects use modern housing and/or hotel options that provide a safe and comfortable place to start and end the day.

What about team size and ages?

Team size will range from 6 to 12 depending on the project. Team members must be 18 years or older. Young adults 14 to 17 need to be accompanied by a parent, youth minister or guardian.

Can I raise support to pay for my trip? How?

Yes, we encourage you to raise support for your trip. What better way to help family and friends catch the vision of missions and service than by supporting you? Contact us for our support raising guidelines and financial policies.

What if I sign up, have sent in my money but then can't go. Will I (and/or my supporters) receive a refund?

Children's Relief International, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit and cannot "refund" money. In the unfortunate event that you would have to cancel your trip any monies raised would be used to benefit the overseas project.
